BI-215 – Jude The book of Jude is examined for its historical value and for its spiritual qualities. Problematic passages are discussed in detail in comparison with other portions of applicable Scripture. BI-223 – Habakkuk The text is examined for its significance in relation to Israel’s history and for its typical significance to the Church. Habakkuk’s authorship and style of writing is studied as well. BI-224 – Hebrews I Authorship of the epistle is a topic of study as is the doctrinal importance of the text as it relates to Jesus. The first six chapters of the epistle as studied with a careful examination of problematic passages. BI-225 – Hebrews II Through the study of the epistle’s last seven chapters students will discuss the doctrinal themes as well as the practical applications of the text. BI-234 – Judges The book is studied for its historical value and primarily for its spiritual context. The lives of each judge in examined with particular interest being placed on judges that are not as well-known. BI-238 – Jeremiah and Lamentations The life of the prophet Jeremiah and the events surrounding his life are discussed in detail. His prophecies are discussed as well as his sorrowful poem, Lamentations. BI-242 – Leviticus The levitical law is examined for its historical and spiritual significance to the nation of Israel. Typology of the levitical sevices is studied for its significance to the Church.

BI-244 – 1 and 2 Thessalonians The epistles are studied for historical value and spiritual significance. The text is examined for doctrinal themes and practical application. BI-289 – Kings and Chronicles A historical study is made of the lives of the kings of Judah and the kings of Israel. Their influence on biblical history is closely examined. BI-290 – 1 Corinthians I The historical setting and the authorship are discussed as well as the spiritual value to the Church. The first eight chapters of the text are examined in detail. BI-291 – 1 Corinthians II This study continues to examine the book of 1 Corinthians. The last eight chapters of the text are examined in detail. BI-301 – Harmony of the Gospels The similarities and differences of the Gospel accounts are given particular interest in this course of study. The various personalities of the Gospel writers and the different audiences to whom the men wrote are discussed to gain insight into the Gospel accounts. BI-313 – 1 Timothy The epistle is studied as a handbook for pastoral service. Practical applications are studied as they relate to the minister but also as they relate to the layman. Significant doctrinal passages are compared to other passages in the New Testament. BI-314 – Philippians Authorship, historical importance, and doctrinal themes are studied. The theme of Christian joy is examined as it is found in the epistle.
