BI-114 – Epistles of John

   The epistles of 1 John, 2 John and 3 John are examined in their historical context.  The authorship and main themes of the text are studied with emphasis being placed on major doctrinal references and practical application.

BI-121 – Elementary Greek

   This is an introductory course to the Greek language.  The Greek alphabet and basic rules of grammar are primary areas of study.

BI-122 – Ephesians

   The authorship and main themes of the epistle are studied in relation to their historical context and doctrinal importance.

BI-123 – The Life of Christ

   Christ’s life is examined in detail.  His travel, miracles, and parables are all examined as historical fact.  The accounts of the crucifixion and the resurrection are given particular attention.

BI-124 – Epistle of James

   The authorship and main themes of the epistle are studied in relation to their historical context and doctrinal importance.  Practical application for the modern church is also emphasized.

BI-131 – The Tabernacle

   This is a detailed study of the Tabernacle.  The design, construction materials, and the furniture of the Tabernacle are studied as spiritual types and symbols.  The priests’ labor and service at the Tabernacle are also studied for significance.

BI-132 – Song of Solomon

            The authorship and historical setting are studied in their relation to the proper interpretation of the text.  Main themes, doctrinal issues and practical application are also examined.

 

 

BI-133 – Old Testament Survey

   This course gives a basic overview of the books of the Old Testament.  Each book is briefly studied to reveal its importance in the canon of Scripture.

BI-134 – Brides and Women of the Bible

   Significant women in the biblical narrative are studied for their historical and typical significance.  The lives of Eve, Sarah, Rebekah, Miriam, Ruth and Mary are several of the main figures who are closely studied in this course.

BI-143 – 1 and 2 Peter

   Peter’s authorship is examined as well as the main themes of his epistles.  The epistles are examined to provide doctrinal teachings as they compare to other biblical texts, and are studied to determine the importance of practical application from Peter’s writings.

BI-170 – General Epistles

   The course provides a survey of the general epistles.  The theme, historical context, and spiritual applications for each book are discussed.

BI-213 – Spiritual Gifts

   The course provides a detailed study of the spiritual gifts that are distributed to believers by the Holy Spirit.  Detailed discussion is made of the misuse of spiritual gifts, and a special emphasis is placed on assisting students in finding their own spiritual gifts.

BI-214 – Colossians

   The authorship and main themes of the epistle are studied in relation to their historical context and doctrinal importance.  Gnostic teaching is examined as it relates to the epistle.
